To create a new brand and identity for the media, film and television industry that would stand apart from legacy brands. Our brief was to assist with the strategy and brand development from inception to launch, while being respectful to sub-brands that existed within the company.
How we added Protein
We worked closely with the client to workshop names, brand positioning and statement that would reflect the ingenuity and mission of the media enterprise. These collaborative workshops helped define an identity that would be at once refined and mysterious. Creating a brand where others could exist within its universe.
House of Brands
As the company was an umbrella brand for existing VFX movie and television companies, Protein had to design an identity that would allow existing brand stamps to live within a House of Brands structure. This informed our creative approach from the get-go.
The Pitch Black brand stands for innovation and excellence. The design is contemporary, unique and understated. It amplifies the brands that are associated with it. Protein completed the brand rollout in time for Pitch Black to be launched at the annual VES Awards for Visual Effects in motion pictures and television.
